Back from the dead

Well, yeah, I know it been about forever since we’ve posted anything here. No excuses. Life just got the better of us, and we didn’t make the effort to pick ourselves back up off the floor… until now.
So what did it take, you might ask?
Well, I got laid off from the day job.
Grumble, grumble, yeah, but it does mean that I have a few more hours in the day available to me now to do things that I’d like to do instead of just those that keep my head above water. I’ve ignored this place so long that CMS upgrades have started causing issues, which is a little embarrassing.
We’ve had a long string of people sending emails ever since our previous post, wondering when we’re going to get back on our feet and start giving out all our fabulous opinions again. For all of those that did, thank you. It was good to know that we’ve made a difference somewhere along the way, and that all of my personal intentions to get back to this site are well founded.
So, be watching for some changes around here. I’ll try not to break anything along the way, but no promises. If you see something that I’ve apparently missed, drop me a line. Hopefully I can get a few reviews together over the next week or so and get them up here. Have a couple that sit pretty close to home, and are, quite frankly, an additional part of the impetus driving me to finally get back to this reviewing thing.
I’ve been keeping two piles of books since disappearing from view. One, for new books to read, and a second for read-books to review. And there are a bundle in that second pile. If you’re anxious to know our thoughts about a particular book, drop us a comment here. If it’s already in my pile, I’ll let you know that a review will soon be incoming. In fact, I’ll probably prioritize it. And if it’s not in my pile, well, I guess we’ll see what I can get to. My TBR pile is still ridiculously out-of-control. Have a lot yet to do.
Hope you’re just as happy as I am about us finally getting back to this place. Man, does it feel good to be taking this first step.
Wish us luck.
